I know davinci resolve like my hand, but those 2 senior have ideas and know how to get those colors out based on experience. I have 28, just 3 years behind 2 senior colorists and i still calling me "junior colorist" (respect colorist tradition) No colorist just because you have a resolve on your hand No colorist if you haven't do a telecine ever in your life To many people calling them self "colorists". Thats the way i choose to learn, thats how i learn Telecine first digital then. You may learn a software, but a colorist is years of experience, and back in time learned with a senior colorist as a tradition. Having somebody constantly looking over your shoulder, pointing out positive and negative points really helps with confidence.ĭepends on how fast you want to learn the software and if you are billing it is not expensive. I have always said the best way to learn is in the classroom where you can network and work with others.
